Establish math basics:

• the very basics
  • addition
  • subtraction
  • multiplication
  • division
  • introduce variations in symbols and notations used to express multiplication and division
• expressions with multiplication and addition
  • notations
  • operator precidence
• fractions (and relationship to division)
• squares, cubes (as relates to multiplication)
• negative numbers
• equality and balancing around the equals sign. First without variables ie: 5+3=2x4 is the same as (5+3)+2=(2x4)+2
• variables, solve for single variables: 5+x=8; x=3
• multiple variables, sovle for single: 5+x=y; x=y-5
• square roots
• multiplying out expressions like (x+2)²
• completing the square: x² + 6x=0; x² + 6x +9 =0+9
• quadratic equations
• Derive the Quadratic Equation by solving ax² + bx + c = 0
